St Mark’s, Dingley and Kingswood Primary Schools together with Resilient Youth are hosting another parent information evening presented by John Hendry OAM (education and cricket). John has spent a lifetime working in education. Wellbeing is fundamentally determined by the capacity to forgive. The focus on kindness and forgiveness provides the way to manage mistakes, resolve conflicts and repair relationships, thereby enhancing wellbeing.
John is a facilitator with Resilient Youth Australia. He has developed with Resilient Youth Director Andrew Fuller, the ‘Relationship Quotient’, along with a model for a ‘Resilient Mindset’. Resilient Mindsets can be developed in individuals, in families, in sporting clubs, in schools and business organisations.
John is also a senior consultant with the Institute of Positive Education, has presented at many conferences including the UNESCO conference on Bullying and School Violence and has worked with various elite sporting clubs such as the Australian Institute of Sport on establishing cultures that enhance athlete health and wellbeing and team performance. This presentation is open to parents of all three schools and all other community members who work with children (coaches, group leaders, etc.).
To register, please email halpin.patrick.p@edumail.vic.gov.au or phone the school on 03 9551 1727.
