Monash University have offered to run an innovative art program with our Grade Two students called ‘Art Reach’. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to use the amazing art facilities at the Monash Peninsula Campus to create innovative artwork around the topic of ‘Australian Animals’ which aligns with the Grade Two unit of Inquiry this term.
Our students will be working with Monash University students who are studying to be primary school teachers. They will be working in small groups to create collaborative art pieces which will stay on display at the university for an art showcase before being sent back to Kingswood for the Grade Two students to take home. This experience will allow our students the opportunity to represent their knowledge of Australian animals in an artistic way.
